This is a card definitely worth considering as you'll earn 3% cash back at U.S. supermarkets, U.S. gas stations, and U.S. online retail on eligible purchases for each category (up to $6,000 per year in purchases in each category, then 1%). Cash back is received in the form of Reward Dollars that can be redeemed as a statement credit and at Amazon.com checkout. This card is worth considering if you're looking for a great starter card. With the "As High As" welcome offer from American Express, here’s how it works: First, apply for the card which will only trigger a soft credit inquiry—and if you're approved, you’ll find out your personalized offer amount.
