Higher than usual offer, making it a great time to snag this card. You earn 4x points on the two categories where your business spends the most each month (up to the first $150,000 in combined purchases each calendar year, then 1x point thereafter). The categories include: Purchases at U.S. media providers for advertising in select media (online, TV, radio); U.S. purchases made from electronic goods retailers and software & cloud system providers; U.S. purchases at restaurants, including takeout and delivery; U.S. purchases at gas stations; Transit purchases including trains, taxicabs, rideshare services, ferries, tolls, parking, buses, and subways; Monthly wireless telephone service charges made directly from a wireless telephone service provider in the U.S. Card also offers up to $395 back in statement credits annually, plus cell phone protection. However, the card comes with a fairly hefty annual fee, especially when compared to Ink cards. Note: Enrollment may be required to receive benefits or credits.

With the "As High As" welcome offer from American Express, here’s how it works: First, apply for the card which will only trigger a soft credit inquiry—and if you're approved, you’ll find out your personalized offer amount. Then if you choose to proceed, simply accept the card with your offer (Note: If you’re approved and accept the Card, your credit score will be impacted at this point in the process). Finally, meet the required minimum spending amount based on your personalized offer within the specified number of months from opening your card, and you will earn a valuable welcome offer in the form of Membership Rewards® points.
