Why Travel Freely Likes It
An incredibly valuable card due to the annual free night stay (awarded on each anniversary), fourth night free when booking an award stay, complimentary Gold Elite status, 15 nights of Elite credit each calendar year and two annual credits: up to $100 in Food & Beverage Rewards at IHG properties and a $100 airline statement credit. These perks alone should offset the annual fee, plus more.
The annual free night certificates that you receive on your account anniversary can be used at a property costing up to 50,000 points per night (although you can always top off the award with points from your account for a more expensive property). Additionally, the free night award expires 12 months after it is received and isn't eligible with the fourth night free on point reservations benefit.
Important Note: The annual fee for this card increased from $99 to $150 for new cardholders on 10/1/26. If you already had the card before then, your fee stays at $99 until your first card anniversary in 2027, when the $150 fee takes effect. Existing Premier cardholders also keep automatic Platinum Elite status through 12/31/27, while new cardholders now get automatic Gold Elite status.
