This card is an ultra-premium card. High annual fee, but well worth it for those frequent travelers who can get instant hotel status and airport lounge access. For many, the benefits will far outweigh the high annual fee. You can earn 5x points for flights booked directly with airlines or with American Express Travel and 5x for prepaid hotels booked through American Express Travel.
This card also comes with money-saving benefits, such as up to $200 Airline Fee Credit; up to $200 back in statement credits per year on prepaid Fine Hotels + Resorts® or The Hotel Collection (The Hotel Collection requires a minimum two-night stay); up to $200 in Uber Cash annually; up to $100 in credits annually for purchases at Saks Fifth Avenue; up to $120 fee reimbursement for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck; up to $189 statement credit for a CLEAR® Plus Credit membership, and more. Additional benefits include airport lounge access, rental car elite status, Marriott Bonvoy Gold status and Hilton Honors Gold status. Note: Enrollment may be required to receive benefits or credits. Overall, it's jam-packed with benefits for the frequent traveler who enjoys luxury.
Note: There are new card family rules on the terms of this application. You may not be eligible to receive the welcome offer on the Platinum if you have or have had the Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Charles Schwab or the Platinum Card® from American Express Exclusively for Morgan Stanley. Read full terms. Lastly, Amex says it will let you know if you are not eligible before applying.
